US Trade Deficit Shrank $6.5 Billion in February

by

The US trade deficit shrank $6.5 billion dollars to -$46 billion. This increase came almost exclusively from a massive decrease in Chinese imports, which fell $6.3 billion to $28.1 billion while Chinese exports only rose $388 million. Imports from Canada also fell a more modest $468.7 million while exports rose $1.6 billion. Notably, imports from Mexico increased $1.2 billion while exports shrank $82.6 million. It is worth noting that there has been huge month-to-month variation in the past six months.
